Gelato Bene x Cattabriga

When the 2020 pandemic hits the world, everyone was affected. Many faces challenges of uncertainties as COVID-19 affects the lives of everyone. The pandemic has caused many to lose their jobs, their homes, and their lives. This took a toll on all of us. But as we navigate through the new ways of living and adjusting to new standards, eventually people found a way to live the new normal. Fabtech remained to stick with their mission of fulfilling potential as we continue to provide service and of help to people despite the challenges during this period. Fabtech as the leading kitchen supplier opened its doors to help people who wanted to start up their business and slowly get back to normal.

GELATO JOURNEY

Ms. Malou is one of those people who found a way out into living the life during pandemic. With her rekindled passion, she looked for new learnings and hobbies to do during this time. She chanced upon gelato making workshop on Fabtech’s social media back in 2021 and as curiosity began, she decided to learn and join GelAteneo.

GelAteneo is an educational institution and learning center dedicated to the making of famous Italian dessert, Artisanal Gelato from premium and all-natural ingredients. Named after the original training facility of Ice Team 1927 Cattabriga, GelAteneo Philippines aims to bring gelato in our country to the next level by equipping both newcomers and long-time professionals alike. This has been made possible through the collaboration of Fabtech @fabtechkitchenlaundry and Ice Team 1928 Cattabriga as they bring forth a wide range of high-performance and reliable gelato equipment and sharing their knowledge to gelato enthusiasts.

BORN OF GELATO MAGIC

After a series of GelAteneo trainings, Ms. Malou gained knowledge on how to create own gelato recipes, knowing the right gelato equipment, and how to market her own gelato business. With these as her foundation, she was able to establish Gelato Bene. Incorporating her discovered passion and love for arts, she personally designed her own flagship logo and enjoyed art while making her own gelato.

Gelato Bene churn artisanal home-crafted small batch gelato at their home kitchen using their Cattabriga Cubo 2i compact continuous churning counter-top batch freezer. Their gelatos are crafted using Italian techniques learned from gelato masters here and in Italy, and with premium honest ingredients imported from Italy as well. Gelato Bene have a variety of flavors such as Pistachio, Matcha, Gianduia, Caramello Salato, Biscottino and many more that each spoonful will be a delight, people like to indulge in.

Few years after, Gelato Bene is growing and expanding. Creating more unique flavors and reaching more gelato friends who share the same love for gelato. Gelato Bene is another testament that Fabtech delivers and continue to provide outstanding products and services however the circumstances are together with our brands partners in the industry.

 
IceTeam 1927 CUBo Counter-top Batch Freezer

Cubo 2 is the new continuous churning counter-top batch freezer.

It allows to freeze mixes of gelato or sorbet, by combining cooling and stirring, until the typical semi-solid consistency of a traditional gelato is reached. Besides, the machine is able to maintain the product structure for an indefinite time, directly in the batch freezer cylinder.

It is possible to refill the cylinder with fresh liquid mix as the product is sold. During the storage mode, the user simply needs to add the liquid mix and restart the freezing process. The machine will reactivate the program to bring the gelato back to the original consistency, taking a 60% shorter freezing time compared to the first batch. Then, the machine will automatically go to storage mode.

The night mode, that can be set by using a timer, allows to turn off automatically any batch freezing/ storage cycle so to keep the temperature in the cylinder like a refrigerator. This will ensure that the gelato mix stays at a positive temperature during the night, without any hygienic or health risks.

Cubo 2i, thanks to its inverter, varies the beating speed. This allows to produce special recipes such as Sicilian granita and frozen coffee cream.
