Engineering Department Team Building 2019

Engineering Department held their Team Building last June 15-16, 2019 at Puerto Del Mar in Candelaria, Zambales. There would be scattered rain showers according to the weather forecast. But that didn't stop the group to push through with their team building. As soon as we got to Zambales, the rain came pouring.

Excited with the team building activities, the participants endured the downpour and the 5-hr ride to the venue. We convened at the hall and started with the prepared set of activities. Everyone was on their A-game and competitive all throughout the games. There were 4 teams (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow) competing for the title of CHAMPIONS. From my perspective, the most memorable activity was the Balloon Caterpillar. Each team were to form a line and they were given 2 balloons to secure. The goal is to prevent the opposing teams to pop your balloons. It was a very physical game but everyone is hungry to win this game. The Blue and Green Team tied to win this game. In the end of the activities, the Red Team was declared the Champions. Still with plenty of time to spare, the participants enjoyed the beach with the view of the sunset.

In my observation, the event was well put together, especially the activities as planned by Arch. Roy Bautista. All the participants are very willing to be part of the team building and everyone enjoyed the activities. But mostly, everybody was thrilled with the team building because it was a nice avenue to relax and forget about work. The teams showed sportsmanship, creativity and unity towards their members and their opposing teams. To conclude, this event is very much recommended for employees to participate as to promote social engagement and an opportunity for rest and relaxation.
